Treasure Earth is pleased to announce the appointment of James Lacy as Prizes and Awards Campaign Origination and Documentary Filmmaker effective 24 May 2020.

James is a freelance Producer, Director, Creative Writer and Documentary Filmmaker with broad experience across dynamic, creative environments including broadcast, media production and television. He excels at the ideation stage and has a passion for captivating storytelling and compelling narrative to capture the imagination of his audience. Highly conceptual, he lists docu-films, sports events, podcasts, short-form social content to long-form branded films among his range of skills and experience.

James is also an amateur ABAE level 1 England Boxing Coach who volunteers as a boxing coach for youth from underprivileged backgrounds to provide them with an alternative  and a way out of gang culture and street crime.

Prizes and Awards Campaign Ideation and Documentary Filmmaker

Treasure Earth is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Lynes as Prizes and Awards Campaign Ideation and Documentary Filmmaker effective 10 May 2020. Rebecca recently graduated as MPhil (Master of Philosophy) in Film and Screen Studies with Distinction from Cambridge University. She specialised in documentary filmmaking, examining the use of virtual reality in humanitarian campaign works with her thesis: “Managing the ‘Empathy Machine’: Virtual Reality as a Responsible Journalistic Tool” which examined humanitarian communication theory in order to assess the validity and ethical implications of the claim that VR can elicit a special sense of empathy in the viewer. Her research required strong knowledge of journalistic practice, editorial guidelines, formal features of VR and the implications of creative decisions concerning them.
