David Crisp
Senior Legal Advisor and Member of the Advisory Board
Treasure earth is pleased to announce the appointment of David Crisp as Senior Legal Advisor and Member of the Advisory Board at Treasure Earth C.I.C. effective 24 March 2023. David is a specialist in-house lawyer with extensive experience across the financial services industry spanning a diverse and impressive combination of corporate, legal and regulatory governance, commercial law, IT and intellectual property and front-line systems in both a B2B and B2C capacity.
David sees volunteering as an opportunity to show leadership in areas dear to his heart, among them child and youth welfare, the environment and humanitarian aid and each one closely aligned with Treasure Earth’s Prize causes. David’s aspiration to become a pioneer of change extends beyond to his professional role where in joining Brown Shipley as in-house Counsel he is part of award-winning Quintet Private Bank that pledges to place ESG and sustainability at the heart of its global investment business with the motto ‘‘Change what you don’t like. Invest in what you do. That’s what we believe.’ ‘Through active ownership we press for positive change, enhancing the investment process while having a positive impact on the people and the planet.” Quintet Private Bank was named one of the world’s “Best Banks for Sustainability and ESG Leadership” at the 32nd annual Private Banker International Global Wealth Awards 2022.
Prior to his role at Brown Shipley David worked at Royal London as both Head of Legal and Commercial Legal Counsel where he helped manage the legal, governance and commercial functions. He was responsible for the legal aspects of the transfer of engagement of Police Mutual into Royal London having worked for Police Mutual for 7 years prior to his transfer to Royal London and managed the firm’s overall Brexit strategy.
David moved to Police Mutual after temporarily working as a legal locum following roles with Deutsche Bank AG, the Parisian firm Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP, the offshore law firm Ogier LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Independently from his valued commitment to our Treasure Earth’s causes David is a committed fundraiser for other worthy causes in his own right and recently completed the 160km “long” crossing of the Lofoten islands in Northern Norway to raise money for “Voices of children”, the Foundation that supports children traumatised by horrendous experiences suffered in the aftermath of war; David also trekked the Alps with friends to raise money for children of military families struggling with the tragedy of the bereavement of a family member lost to war.” Two most worthy causes that could not be more closely aligned to Treasure Earth Prize?
