Prize and Awards PR, Media and Communications Specialist


Treasure earth is pleased to announce the appointment of Caroline Jones as Prize and Awards PR, Media and Communications Specialist.

Caroline brings skills and experience from a range of industry sectors specialising in the careful handling of complex and sensitive issues via both traditional media and digital channels, and adeptly managing issues that could impact reputation.

She currently volunteers with the Africa Health Organisation, and also for CAFOD as a Media Advisor. Prior to this she worked as PR Manager for Life and Pensions at Liverpool and Victoria (LV) Financial Services where she created the PR strategy and designed and instituted political and policy positions. She was responsible for writing LV=’s flagship ‘Income Roulette’ report on generational finances, and then delivering the communications plan including PR, social media, direct marketing, and internal communications.

Before Liverpool and Victoria (LV) she worked as Senior Press Officer at the Financial Conduct Authority where she was trusted by ExCo members and the CEO to advise on communications handling for difficult issues and where she managed reputational issues and regulatory interventions of a market sensitive nature.

At Association of British Insurers (ABI) the leading trade association for insurers and long-term savings providers, she worked as Communications Officer leading on integrated communications campaigns and acted as a spokesperson for the insurance industry, taking part in national broadcast interviews including BBC 5 live, BBC London and Sky Radio. She was seconded to HM Treasury press office in June 2016.

Prior to that in her role as Communications and Public Affairs Adviser also at ABI she coordinated strategic planning across the communications and public affairs teams creating high quality briefings for parliamentarians ahead of Westminster debates on reputational issues. She built relationships with Prospective Parliamentary Candidates and organised events for members as part of the ABI’s 2015 pre-election engagement, managing MP engagement and case work on complex policy issues and organising ABI’s events at the Autumn 2014 political party conferences

As Corporate PR Executive – Technology and Business at Visa Europe she managed the PR agencies across Europe and ran the media engagement for the annual Mobile World Congress event.

She completed her internship at Hill + Knowlton Strategies in the Financial and Professional Services Team where she launched the Mayor’s Challenge in Europe – Mayor Bloomberg’s philanthropic project – coordinating with journalists and publications across Europe.

MSc in Political Sociology (Merit) – London School of Economics

• Dissertation on the construction of the settler/native dialectic in Liberia
