Care Prize Research Specialist


Treasure Earth is pleased to announce the appointment of William Jones as Care Prize Research Specialist for Treasure Earth effective 21 July 2021. Will has just graduated from the University of Leeds having studied Classical Civilisation and English with honours and is now preparing to begin his masters in International Relations at the University of Bristol. His ambition is to forge a career in humanitarian aid with the United Nations or a similar international agency and he looks forward to applying his skills to our Peace Prize and Climate Prize Campaigns researching associated causes for which he shares our passion.

Throughout his first year at university, he also studied Arabic to learn basic language skills and to study the culture of the Middle East and he plans to continue his travels around the world to learn about other cultures. He had planned to study international law, cooperation and human rights at Nagoya University in Japan, while learning Japanese and about Japanese culture before lockdown put this on hold.

Will also shares our commitment to youth and believes in the positive impact youth can bring to the future and is keen to research initiatives striving to benefit youth, therefore he looks forward to starting his first research project working with our Creative Team on the Treasure Earth Care Prize addressing some of the critical issues facing youth for positive outcomes.

2015- present – Donna Louise Children’s Hospice, Stoke on Trent- Volunteer

His role includes supporting children, young people and their families with life limiting conditions.

The valued skills that William brings to Treasure Earth complement the existing team perfectly and will contribute significantly and creatively to the success of the Treasure Earth Prize Campaigns and Awards and to the Treasure Earth challenge addressing critical global challenges of the 21st century in areas of Peace, Climate, CSR and Humanitarian Care and focussing on youth as a central theme.
