Treasure Earth is pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Smith-Morgan as Member of the Advisory Board effective 22 October 2020. Angela brings the benefit of her considerable experience as Charity CEO, Trustee and Senior Development Manager also managing a variety of large community development and private sector projects. During her career she has acquired a diverse range of specialist skills spanning governance, fundraising, project management, mergers and with a proven record of corporate rebranding and growing the organisations she leads into sustainable national organizations.

She was until recently CEO of Leukaemia UK where she led the merger of The Elimination of Leukaemia Fund with Leuka bringing together two of the UK’s leading organisations in this area to become Leukaemia UK. Among her many achievements she led and managed the external stakeholder partnerships, corporate rebranding, fundraising from major donors and corporate sponsors and the new marketing and social media strategies. She also created the Medical Advisory Panel and assumed the role of Vice Chair of the Blood Cancer Alliance, a group of 16 NGOs.

Prior to her role at Leukaemia UK Angela worked as Executive Director at HERA International UK. HERA mobilises business and academia and creative resources to combat the £115 billion/annum business of human trafficking and re-trafficking and to redress victims and survivors. As part of her role she also managed partnership development and fundraising, including from NGOs, corporations, individuals, and secured multi-year funding commitments from trusts and major corporate sponsors.

As Programme Manager at SOA Development she designed and delivered an innovative suite of enterprise support services for the London borough of Croydon, valued at £77 million over 10 years and where she was appointed interim CEO, as well as a number of other project and interim roles.

Prior to that as Senior Development Manager at Business Link for London she managed a team of personal business advisers. During this time she was also a visiting lecturer in SME Growth and Business Strategy at the University of Greenwich.

Previously Angela worked at PA Consulting Group as Strategy Consultant on projects for clients such as the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Halifax Building Society (Halifax), and other blue chip corporations.

Angela started her career as a graduate management trainee at Natwest International from where she was transferred to their Paris HQ as marketing officer, and then business assistant for the Chief Manager for France and eventually returned to London to join the financial structuring unit.
