Treasure Earth is pleased to announce the appointment of Freya Smale, Senior Prizes and Awards Campaign Manager – Head of Marketing, Social Media and Media Partners and Member of the Advisory Board effective 22 April 2020. As a seasoned business leader and accomplished marketer with a distinguished track record leading highly successful and cost effective marketing campaigns, Freya brings to Treasure Earth a wealth of skills and experience across all marketing disciplines from a diverse range of industry sectors.

With an impressive history of successful Marketing Campaigns, Product Development, Events and Client Services functions worldwide in leading technologies she has contributed  significantly to the promotion of innovation to inspire change across various industries.

She currently works as Portfolio Marketing Director at Informa Tech, part of Informa Group PLC, a British multinational publishing, business intelligence, and exhibitions group, listed on the London Stock Exchange and a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.

Promoted to a global position after only 6 months in the role she now oversees the restructure of the marketing team, the strategic direction and the integrated marketing campaigns across the Tech Events and Media products and has successfully secured key industry partnerships building and leveraging a partner marketing network of over 100 media sites and associations to increase brand awareness and new business development.

Prior to that she worked as Vice President Marketing, Product and Client Services in Professional Services and Events at The Millennium Alliance LLC, New York, an invitation-only organization for Senior-Level Executives and Business Transformers and providing business leaders with high level training and exclusive professional networking connections. Chief among her many and varied achievements she developed the highly successful integrated marketing strategy across the full PR, marketing and products range and created new processes for campaign promotions leading to efficiencies, cost savings and enhanced tracking increasing ROI. She also played a vital role in the launch of the Advisory Board of industry Influencers consisting of CEOs, industry leaders, and a former US Governor.

As Editor-in-Chief of the Millennium Alliance’s Digital Diary, she developed the digital marketing strategy and the new business development and successfully launched the digital-only publication comprising written, audio, and video content across Marketing, Healthcare, Cyber security, Finance, Retail, Leadership, and Technology.

Prior to that Freya was honoured to be invited to join Forbes Communications Council in New York, another invitation-only organization for senior-level communications and public relations executives. Here she was invited to contribute business articles and industry related tips as an Executive-level Communications and Public Relations Expert and based on her depth and diversity of experience.

Freya started her career as Marketing Executive and Community Manager at Terrapinn, a leading and cutting edge global events company promoting innovation and technology across a diverse range of industry sectors and partnering with many of the world’s leading multinational corporations. She rose swiftly through the ranks to marketing manager responsible for the strategy and implementation of the marketing campaigns for Terrapinn’s European Life Science events and where her team won “Best Marketing Team” at the Conference Awards 2013 and 2014.

Rapidly promoted to Marketing Director she then became accountable for the overall strategy and marketing across industries in Life Sciences, Finance, and Enterprise Industries. She managed customer outreach across all events and customised multidisciplinary strategy across all major media channels to successfully transform the business.

Notable successes among her achievements include the establishment of the Marketing department’s training and induction schedule and the impactful digital marketing outcomes and inflated revenues that realised profits for the first time in eight years . This she achieved while participating in events throughout the Americas to promote innovation and to inspire change in various industries.
