Treasure Earth is pleased to announce the appointment of Kyle Martin, ACA CA (SA) MBA CertT as Treasurer, Member of the Advisory Board and Chair of the Audit Committee effective 9 January 2020. Kyle currently works at HSBC as Financial reporting Manager undertaking the external financial reporting for HSBC Bank plc (HSBC Europe). He joined HSBC from Standard Chartered Bank London where he had moved from his native South Africa to work as Manager Group Financial Reporting responsible for Group IFRS 9 credit risk.
Kyle started his career at Deloitte South Africa as part of the Financial Institutions and Services Audit Team where he was rated as a top performer undertaking the audit of two of South Africa’s top tier banks.
From there in his consulting role he was offered a role at Barclays Africa Group Ltd as Senior Manager Finance Accounting (VP) where among other achievements he led a restatement project to carve out Treasury as a new reporting segment and was offered a full bursary to take his MBA. From there he rose swiftly through the ranks over a five year period to Financial Control Manager (VP) where he took responsibility for Financial policy, governance & controls for the Africa region and where he was awarded a full bursary to study for his CFA before moving up to a financial modelling role as Senior Financial Analyst. His final role at Barclays Africa Group was as Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager – Change (VP) CFA where he worked on the Forecasting and analysis of Barclays Plc/Absa separation.

Diploma in Treasury (currently studying) – The Association of Corporate Treasurers, (expected 2020)
